prisontest game guide

learn how mining, prestige, enchants, pets, robots and storage work in prisontest.

Getting started

Mining and currencies

Mine blocks to earn money, tokens and pickaxe EXP. Spend money on ranks, tokens on enchants, and points in /pointshop.

Open /pickaxe for your tool, /inventory for items, and /settings for display and gameplay options.

Ranks and prestige

Use /rankup to buy the next rank, or /rankupmax for every rank you can afford. At rank Z, open /prestige to review the cost.

Prestige keeps your pickaxe and items. Finishing the prestige cycle advances rebirth and opens more mine content. The menu shows your next requirement.

Caves and buried crates

Fresh mines can contain rare crystal ore pockets, caves and buried crates.

Right-click a crate to collect eggs, crystals, parts or automine time. Make inventory space first; unopened crates keep their rewards, and collected crates stay gone.

Mine guardians

Stone Guardians rarely awaken while manually mining with an advanced pickaxe. Open /guardian and choose Go to Guardian to reach one.

Mine the bright arm, then the other arm, then the head. The boss bar shows its health, exposed weak point and time left. Defeating it awards cores for stronger EXP parts in /forge.

Menus and offline time pause the fight. Leaving or refilling ends it without rewards. Devmode can summon one with /test guardian.

Rebirth mines and upgrades

Rebirth opens new regions in /mines. Each has its own ore layout and forge material; changing regions refills your mine.

/mineupgrades offers permanent ore, pocket and crate upgrades. The menu shows prices and rebirth requirements. Purchases survive prestige and take effect on a fresh refill.

More ore means more token blocks and fewer money blocks. Pocket and crate upgrades improve rewards when a discovery appears.

Mining contracts

Accept a goal in /contracts, make progress by playing, then return to claim points and forge materials.

Contracts do not expire. Saving, prestige and rebirth keep your accepted goal; cancelling loses its progress.

Challenge shafts

After your first prestige, /shaft opens challenge floors with changing mining conditions. Clear the displayed block target to earn rewards and descend.

Your normal mine is saved while exploring. Use /shaft to return; an unfinished floor loses its progress. Saving keeps your active run and depth record.

Automining and manual refills are disabled in shafts. Each floor lists any other restrictions before you enter.

Pickaxe

Enchants and EXP

Open /enchant to buy upgrades, grouped by Tokens, Rubys and Sapphires. Pickaxe EXP unlocks more enchants and crystal slots.

Drag token enchant books or Liquid EXP onto your pickaxe. Gem enchants must be bought with their own currency.

Use /enchantcolor to change lore colours, or /enchantcolor off to restore the defaults.

Rubys and Sapphires

Buy RubyGreed with tokens to find Rubys while manually mining. Spend Rubys on SapphireGreed to start finding Sapphires.

Gem upgrades are long-term purchases. /enchant shows each unlock, currency and price before purchase. Area enchants, bombs and automining do not roll gems or robot fuel.

Drill digs toward the mine floor. FuelFinder supplies robots, and Jackpot can uncover items. Bought upgrades and gem balances survive prestige and rebirth.

Endgame enchants

Late pickaxe levels unlock rare effects: Hyper Surge helps pet EXP, Adrenaline improves pet boosts, Rage speeds up area triggers, and Overdrive improves pickaxe EXP.

Rewind repeats recent income, Energizer activates an owned effect, Credit Finder finds shop points, and Jackpot finds items.

These trigger rarely and have cooldowns. Active timed effects appear as boss bars; /boosts shows the full list and /enchant shows unlocks and costs.

Crystals and dust

Identify a crystal by using it or right-clicking it in inventory, then drag it into an unlocked slot in /crystals.

Convert spare crystals into dust. Use matching dust to preview crafting a higher-tier crystal.

The first three crystal slots can resonate when they hold identified crystals of one tier, T5 or higher. Match their boost types or use one of each. /resonance shows the combinations and your active bonus.

Parts and tool prestige

Identify a part, then equip it in the matching Head, Binding or Rod slot in /parts.

Equip all three parts at the required tier to prestige the parts. This consumes that set and advances the tool tier; it is separate from rank prestige.

Forging parts

Put spare parts of one tier and crystal dust into /forge. Choose a recipe and output slot, then review the material and token cost before confirming.

Regional recipes choose the boost type. Guardian cores make stronger EXP parts. Specializations trade one bonus for another; their menu explains the tradeoff.

Equipped parts are never taken automatically. Drag unused ingredients back out. /sets saves combinations of your existing parts, crystals and active pet.

Rename Tokens

Buy a Rename Token in /pointshop. Hold your pickaxe or pouch, open /rename, preview the name and confirm.

Hex colours such as &#b895d9Amethyst Pick work in names. Escape cancels without spending the token.

Items and pets

Inventory and pouches

Drag items between inventory, equipment and storage. Matching items stack while keeping their metadata.

Right-click a held pouch to open it. /pv opens your vault, where you can buy and name extra pages.

/salvage, /bin and /trash turn eligible items into tokens.

Robots and fuel

Rare mining drops and Jackpot can find sell, EXP or token robots. Equip one of each in /robots.

FuelFinder supplies Robot Fuel. Drag fuel onto a robot or choose Load Fuel. Robots only boost mining while fueled; idle and offline time do not burn fuel.

Upgrades cost gems and increase both the boost and fuel demand. Review costs in /robots. Returning a robot keeps its level and fuel.

Pets and hatchery

Use an egg or drag it into /pets to start hatching. Mining advances it; drag a ready pet out to claim it. Equip a pet for its boost and feed it when ready.

/petmerge combines eligible pets. Rare hatch mutations can save robot fuel, improve egg discovery or add pickaxe EXP. Only the active pet grants its trait.

Traits stay with pets through storage and expeditions. Merging inherits the most common parent trait, or rolls for one if no parent has a mutation.

Pet expeditions

Send spare pets through /expeditions for forge materials, food and eggs. Species and unlocked regions determine their routes.

Mining advances trips. Return to collect a finished trip, or recall the pet early without rewards. Full inventory keeps the pet and rewards safely stored.

Multipliers and rewards

Use multiplier items to activate them. /boosts shows your equipment bonuses and active effects; matching multipliers extend their duration.

/endmulti returns your active sell multiplier as an item. /combinemulti combines matching sell multipliers into a stronger one.

/rewards lists mining milestones. Mining income appears in a one-minute chat summary.

Autominer

Use Automine Time items to add time, then open /autominer or /am. Buy speed upgrades in its menu.

/am start starts automining; /am stop stops it. Higher speeds consume more stored time. Manual digging and mine bombs are disabled while automining.

Item filter

Hold the item you want to filter and open /filter. Add a rule for keeping, salvaging, applying or moving matching items to the vault.

Rules apply only to automatic drops. Manual transfers, equipment returns, purchases and crafted items stay in inventory.

Point Shop

Spend mining points in /pointshop on eggs, multipliers, automine time, Liquid EXP, rename tokens and pouches.

The shop shows each item's price in points.

Mine bombs

Hold a Mine Bomb and left-click to throw it. It explodes on impact or after its fuse; higher tiers clear a wider area.

Bombs pay money and tokens from removed blocks, without pickaxe EXP or area-enchant triggers. They cannot be thrown while automining or during a refill.

Display

Settings and HUD

/settings opens the world settings. Title and pause Settings include volume, GUI scale, FOV, Hand view, Tool angle, Left hand and key bindings.

Right Shift opens the HUD editor; F8 also works. Crosshair, held-item name and tool progress stay fixed. Escape closes menus directly to gameplay.

/scoreboard [on|off|toggle], or /sc, controls scoreboard visibility. This is saved with the world.
